PURPOSE:To prevent contamination due to ink emission, by disenabling the pushing-down of an operation lever for carrying suction restoring operation unless an ink cassette provided with a waste ink tank is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A stopper mechanism 12 for inhibiting the operation of an operation lever 1 for carrying out suction restoring operation when an ink cassette 9 provided with a waste ink tank is not set is provided while a cap opening mechanism 19 for carrying out the opening of a cap after suction restoring operation is carried out by operating the operation lever 1 after the cap is mounted is provided. Therefore, when the ink cassette 9 provided with the waste ink tank is not set, suction restoring operation can not be carried out while, after the mounting of the cap, the cap inlaid with the leading end of a nozzle is not opened unless suction restoring operation is carried out and contamination due to a waste ink can be prevented. |
