摘要 PURPOSE:To avoid a reduction of the processing speed of both writing and collation, by defining the number of sectors that can be stored in the first cylinder as the number of writing sectors in case when the data equivalent to designated plural sectors cannot be stored in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Both the writing start position and the number of sectors are informed from a program 1. Thus a sector number calculating part 2 decides the number of writing sectors that can be stored in the first cylinder based on the information given from the program 1 and the number of sectors per cylinder. Thus the first writing is carried out by a cylinder and a head 11 to a disk record surface 12 for the sectors according to the above-decided writing number and via a main control part, an address control part 5, a writing control part 7, etc. Then the residual data are written immediately into the sectors of subsequent addresses via a cylinder following the same address as the cylinder to which the head 11 is presently positioned. In the same way, no queuing time occurs to the collation regardless of the writing start address. As a result, a reduction of speed can be avoided for both writing and collation.
