<p>Device, for waving hair, with a cylindrical staff-like body 1, 56 for rolling up the hair, which contains a catalytic heating device B, B' and which is arranged firmly next to a handle (grip) piece 2, 54 which is formed as a container (tank) for the fuel. In order to regulate the supply of fuel from the fuel container to the catalytic heating device B, B', there is, between the handle piece 2, 54 and the staff-like body 1, 56, a valve- type device 13, 15, 16, 34; 51, 53, 55, 105 which is controlled thermostatically, and there is an opening L for the entry of air into the combustion chamber B, B' which contains the catalyst 43, 77. Near to the free end 58 of the cylindrical heating body 1, 56 there is an ignition device Z, Z' which can either be actuated by making use of a rotary hoop (ring) 31, 86, which impels a friction wheel 26, 93 which causes sparks to be generated by an ignition stone 23, 109 and causes them to leap to the catalyst 43, 77, in order to initiate catalytic combustion therein, or else it has an electric battery 57 which, once a control key 59 has been actuated, closes a circuit 61, 62, 63, 79, 80, 90, 91, 92 towards an incandescence filament 60 whereby catalytic combustion begins to take place in the catalyst 77.</p> |
