A device which can be rolled up and thus easily transported for compensating the formation of depressions on existing beds has a textile support (2) on whose underside pockets (3) are sewn which are open on both sides for receiving spring slats (4) of laminated wood. Two further spring slats (4a), arranged at the ends of these spring slats (4), have the dual function of securing the aforementioned spring slats (4) in their position and furthermore increasing their spring path. The device can be taken on journeys and, if required, be used to improve the comfort of hotel beds. <IMAGE>
