The mounting secures the U-shaped electrical heater element of a night-storage heater in a flange with two holes and near the terminals, the element extending horizontally inside a recess in the heater core. It is only in one of the holes (15,16) of the flange (14) that an arm (2) of the element (1) is secured. The other arm (3) is movable axially in the second hole of the flange. The design avoids the element knocking against the heater core under the effect of vibration, with consequent noise generation.
