<p>The control system for the power supply to an X-ray tube esp. for diagnostic work includes a high voltage rectifier (2) between anode and heater, connected to a high voltage transformer (3). This has a resistance (4) in series with the secondary windings (5, 6) and connected to two comparators for giving a comparison between the actual and desired value readings. These are connected to two resistances (9) and their outputs are connected respectively to an adjuster (10) to control the heater supply and to the control grid of the tube. The adjuster is also connected to a function generator (11). The two resistances give the nominal value reading.</p> |
