A roof mounted luggage container (1) for a car (2) has an aerodynamic shape formed by a plastics moulding. The hollow shell protects the luggage from theft and weathering and with its shape reduces the drag on the vehicle. The shape can be soft or rigid plastics. It can be a variety of shapes for low drag and even some lift to reduce the centre of gravity when travelling. the container can be replaced by two similar long containers to the skis or other long articles. The shape also reduces wind noise considerably.
