Boiler-cooled electron tube - has anode integrated in heat sink with radial ribs around circumference and prongs pressed in copper tube

A boiler-cooled electron tube has an outer anode forming an integral part of a tubular anode heat sink. There are a number of cooling fins projecting radially and uniformly distributed around the circumference. Each rib consists of a main section divided into two prongs. The radial depth (6) between the two prongs (5) is half the height (7) of the main rib (3). The tubular anode heat sink (1) with the cooling ribs is produced by pressing a tube section. The tube can be made from copper of the appropriate thickness which simplifies the mfg.
