<p>The transverse shear mechanism is for high-speed strip material in a coiling machine with automatic changeover, a spring-loaded parting knife cutting through the strip as it rolls over or its stationary on the empty core. The knife turns for a limited amount on it slide acting as its transverse guide, so as to set itself automatically in the cutting direction resulting from material and transverse cutting speeds. A compression spring (1) acts on the knife (2), which is equipped with supporting rollers (7), mounted on a spindle (6), and whode diameter is smaller than that of the knife.</p> |
