<p>NEW MATERIAL:A tetrapeptide derivative of formula I: (R1 and R2 are H or methyl groups, at least one of them is methyl group; R3 is lower aliphatic acyl group which may be substituted by OH, lower alkoxy, halogen, or oxo group), and its acid addition salts. EXAMPLE:H-Tyr-(D)-Ala-Gly-Mephe-NH-NH-CO-CH2-CH3. USE:Analgesics, having sufficient actions even by intravenous and subcutaneous administration, and a remedy for gastrointestinal diseases, e.g. diarrhea, having gastrointestinal propulsion inhibitory actions. PROCESS:The protecting groups of a compound of formula II: (R3' and R3 are the same, and may have protecting groups; Y1 is protecting group) are eliminated to form the compound of formula I.</p> |
