Thecovering is designed to keep the actual working surface clean and to collect kitchen waste for hygienic disposal. The top parchment or clear foil layer is transparent and is perforated with a mesh-type surface. The middle layer underneath the top layer is a germ-free cellular insertion layer used as an absorbent layer for any liquid. The bottom layer is made of tinfoil preventing wet from penetrating underneath. The top and bottom layers are stuck together round the edge. The bottom layer can be made of tin foil parchment or with a rubberinsert.
