The holder, is used to support integrated circuit assemblies, and has an insulating body for the contact springs that project from the body to form contact tags. The tags press against corresponding regions on the circuit assemblies. Channels or similar apertures are located next to the cavities that contain the inner ends of the contact springs and extend parallel to the direction in which the integrated circuit is inserted. These channels hold the contact tags. The channels are linked to the cavities by cross channels.
