Arranged in tandem in the housing (1, 2) of the double coaxial valve (V1, V2) acting as a "hydraulic rectifier" are two valves (A, B), each of which has an outer valve element (3, 4) and an inner valve element (5, 6). The valve elements are of tubular design and inserted coaxially one inside the other. In each valve, a single compression spring (19, 20) presses the outer element (3, 4) against an outer valve seat (7, 8) and the inner element against an inner valve seat (25, 26). To ensure that the valve elements (3, 4, 5, 6) open in the desired direction of flow, pressurisation surfaces (15, 16, 59, 28) are provided at their ends. In the case of flow in direction A', the outer element (3) of the first valve (A) and the inner element (6) of the second valve (B) open, while the other elements (4, 5) are pressed against their seats (8 and 25).
