The switch insulating socket carries contact elements in two rows. These stationary contacts are connectable by contact bridges mounted on a switching roll parallel to the socket and rotary mounted on the same. The roll has on one free end a bevel gear, driven by a second bevel gear mounted on a drive shaft at right angles to the switching roll. The drive shaft has a locking spider cooperating with an arrester. The switching roll (5) and the drive shaft (7) have their respective bevel gears (6,8) in one piece. The drive shaft is mounted in a bore of the socket bottom. It carries the locking spider (9) which coacts with the arrester (10,11) mounted in the socket. The outside of the socket bottom forms the securing surface of the switch.
