PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus whereby a user can compose an image with a hand-written image as the user wishes in the case that an image to be composited is printed on a sheet and the user hand-writes a desired image on the printed image to composite the image to be composited with the hand-written image. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes a sheet generating means for generating a user description sheet that includes: a reference image region on which a reference image corresponding to a desired selected photo image is printed, the selected photo image being selected among a plurality of photo images stored in a photo image storage means; and a hand-written region on which the user describes the hand-written image to be hand-written and composited with the photo image, and the image processing apparatus pseudoly overlaps the reference image and the hand-written image to produce a sheet so as to lay out the hand-written region at a position which the user can grasp a result of the composition.
