In a method for carrying out cyclic and conflict-free data communication of the subscriber of a data bus, which transmits data in non-overlapping periods within a subscriber cycle interval and processes jobs, and whose fixed transmitting time slots in a planning phase are allocated within the subscriber cycle interval, jobs processing of a subscriber is carried out exclusively within an application time interval within the subscriber cycle interval.In the planning phase, the transmission time slots of each subscriber are selected within a transmitting time interval which is disjuncted in relation to the application time interval within the subscriber cycle interval and the selected transmitting time slots of the subscriber are disclosed in a subsequent initialising phase.
