According to the present invention, a method for controlling shifting of a reducer comprises: a step of determining shifting operation; a step of ordering the shifting operation; a step of checking whether or not the shifting operation is succeeded; a step of checking an initial position of a shifting gear before the shifting operation is performed when the shifting operation is failed; a step of changing the shifting gear to the initial position and setting the shifting gear to be in a limp home mode when the initial position of the shifting gear is not positioned in a neutral state; a step of checking a target position determined in the step of determining the shifting operation when the initial position is in the neutral state checked by the step of checking the initial position; and a step of changing the shifting gear to the target position and setting the limp home mode. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the shift control method, preventing damage to a reducer caused by an operation error of a transmission.
