PURPOSE:To obtain the titled crystal having improved solubility in high recovery ratio and in high efficiency, by feeding a hot concentrated aqueous solution of stevia sweet component onto a belt conveyor, immediately passing the aqueous solution under an extended material of paste made from the starch of the devil's-tongue, expanding the solution into a thin film, drying peeling and dropping. CONSTITUTION:A hot concentration aqueous solution 11 of stevia sweet component having 40-60% concentration at 50-110 deg.C stored in a feed tank 6 is fed from an extrusion slit onto an endless belt conveyor 1 having smooth surface obtained by sticking cotton cloth to a stainless steel net and applying a silicone resin, fluoropolymer, etc., to the net, immediately passed through under an extended material 4 of paste made from the starch of the devil's-tongue, extended into a thin uniform filmy state, dried by a hot-air drying box 7 of hot-air dryer, dried stevia crystal is cracked by a pulley 3 having large diameter, the outer peripheral part of each crack is torn up, scaly crystal is peeled and dropped, partially remaining unreleased scaly crystal is vibrated by a rotary beater 9 and a vibrator 8, recovered, gathered by a recovery funnel 10 and collected. |
