A method of servicing a wellbore in a subterranean formation comprising: placing a wellbore servicing fluid comprising a coupling agent, a hardenable resin, and a hardening agent into the wellbore wherein the coupling agent comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of: an oxidized multi hydroxy phenyl, an oxidized dihydroxy phenyl, an oxidized trihydroxy phenyl, oxidized ascorbic acid, an oxidized hydroxymethylnaphthol, and any combination thereof; wherein the hardenable resin comprises a resin selected from the group consisting of: a bisphenol A diglycidyl ether resin, a butoxymethyl butyl glycidyl ether resin, a bisphenol A-epichlorohydrin resin, a bisphenol F resin, a polyepoxide resin, a bisphenol epoxy resin, a novolac resin, a polyester resin, an aldehyde resin, a phenolic resin, a terpolymer of phenol, a phenol-aldehyde resin, a phenolic formaldehyde resin, an urea-aldehyde resin, a furan resin, a furfuryl alcohol resin, a urethane resin, a glycidyl ether resin, a compound characterized by Structure XV: and any combination thereof; and forming a covalent bond between the coupling agent and one or more surfaces of the subterranean formation, the hardenable resin, the hardening agent, or any combination thereof wherein the covalent bond is formed by a cycloaddition reaction.
