<p>Nickel chloride vapor is mixed with chlorine gas fed through a supply pipe (6) at a mole ratio of chlorine gas to nickel chloride vapor of between 0.01 : 1 and 0.5 : 1, and the gaseous mixture thus obtained is fed through a supply pipe (2) into the hydrogen gas atmosphere kept in a reducing furnace (1) at a reducing temperature (900 to 1100 °C), whereby powdered nickel which is appropriately controlled in the particle size and improved in the uniformity of particle size and the surface smoothness and sphericity of particles can be produced.</p> |
