<p>A wide-mouthed container of a synthetic resin for paint and wax which is formed at a trunk portion to a thin-wall by injection draw blow molding, wherein a large-diameter mouth portion comprises an inner circumferential wall integral with a bottomed trunk portion, a belt type outer circumferential wall integral with and formed on the outer side of the inner circumferential wall via a connecting portion of a predetermined width so that the inner and outer circumferential walls and connecting portion combined have a H-shaped cross section, and annular grooves formed between upper and lower portions of the two walls and separated from each other by the connecting portion, the trunk portion being draw blow molded in a thin wall and extending from a lower section of the inner circumferential wall to a part in contact with the lower edge of the outer circumferential wall so that an outer side surface of the trunk portion is flush with that of the outer circumferential wall with a lower part of the mouth portion made hollow by the lower annular groove, diagonal ribs for preventing the connecting portion from being deformed during a trunk portion drawing operation being formed in a corner defined by the section of a lower surface of the connecting portion which is on the side of the outer circumferential wall and an inner surface of the outer circumferential wall, in such a manner that the ribs are integral with the connecting portion and outer circumferential wall, a required number of ribs being provided at regular intervals in the lower annular groove.</p> |
