PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can maintain high image quality for a long period.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: photoreceptors; developing units; a transfer belt 35; primary transfer rollers; a secondary transfer roller; a cleaning blade 47; a driving roller as a first roller; and a driven roller 41b as a second roller. The transfer belt 35 includes a surface layer formed of a coating material, an intermediate layer formed of an elastic body, and a back layer formed of a base material. The driven roller 41b is provided separate from the driving roller and arranged at a position opposite to a cleaning blade 47 with the transfer belt 35 therebetween to be in contact with the inner side of the transfer belt 35. The driven roller 41b includes a surface layer on a side in contact with the transfer belt 35 formed of an elastic body and rotates the transfer belt 35 in one direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
