<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card for reducing the load of the CPU of a host and a memory card, and for reducing power consumption by outputting a busy signal showing the processing period of a secure token or a write error signal to a data terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A control section 7 controls a nonvolatile memory 2. A plurality of data terminals DAT0 to DAT3 and a command terminal CMD are connected to a host 10, and transmit and receive data and a command to and from the host. A buffer memory temporarily stores the data.
