A motor test stand rests on a vibration-dampening bed with a steel frame under a sheet steel table (4). The frame is made up of sections of profiled steel (8,10,12,141,16,18) joined by suitable means and resting on an array of hydraulic, pneumatic or coiled springs over a pit. The motor test stand (2) is secured to the sheet metal surface by suitable fittings or welding.
