FACING MATERIAL HOLDING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facing material holding structure using a zipper gasket, usable if the thickness of a facing material such as a glass plate is changed and well workable in mounting the zipper gasket with no danger of removal. SOLUTION: In a holding structure for a facing material 5, the peripheral edge 50 of the facing material 5 is held via a zipper gasket 4 by a frame material 3 corresponding to the peripheral edge 50. The frame material 3 has a sectionally U-shaped fixing portion 31 opening toward the facing direction X of the facing material 5 for fixing a gasket main body 4. The gasket main body 4 has a fixed portion 43 to be fitted into the fixing portion 31, a holding face 45 to be pressed against the outside face 51 and an opposite face 46 opposite to the peripheral edge 50 of the facing material 5. The zipper 4 which is fitted into the gasket main body 4 toward the outside face 51 presses the holding face 45 of the gasket main body 4 against the outside face 51.
