PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for internal combustion engine capable of precisely determining the rotating speed of a turbo charger without using a rotating speed sensor or the like and performing various control required therefor. SOLUTION: This control device calculates the rotating speed of the turbo charger on the basis of the output signal Ga of an air flowmeter 53, the output signal Tt of an atmospheric temperature sensor 55, the inlet pressure of a compressor impeller 42, and the output pressure of the compressor impeller 42, and executes an engine control according to the rotating speed. The input pressure of the compressor impeller 42 is calculated on the basis of the output signal Pt of an atmospheric pressure sensor 52 and the pressure loss characteristic of an air cleaner 21. The output pressure of the compressor impeller 42 is calculated on the basis of the output signal Tm of an intake manifold temperature sensor 55, the output signal Pm of an intake manifold pressure sensor 56, the pressure loss characteristic of an intake throttle valve 23, and the pressure loss characteristic of an inter cooler 22.
