PURPOSE:To record a visible copy image only by flash exposure using a small size copier provided with a flash light source, by using a specified Te compound type light and heat sensitive image forming material containing no reducing agent and having superior storage stability. CONSTITUTION:TeX4 (X is Cl or Br, and it may be mixed in one molecule), a N- containing heterocyclic compound or an organic base selected from aliphatic amines of the formula (R<1>, R<2>, R<3> are H, or substitutable straight chain, branched, or cyclic 10 or less C alkyl), a quinone compound, and a thermoplastic polymer binder are uniformly dissolved or dispersed in a common solvent and this coating fluid is coated on a transparent or translucent support and dried or this is formed into a film. On exposing this copying material to flash light, a latent image of a hydroquinone compound is produced uniformly on the whole surface, heat produced by light absorbed in the original images area develops the lantent image, a TeX4- organic base complex is reduced to Te, and the positive image of the original is thus formed. |
