PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method and a processing unit which can collect nitric acid and cerium separately from ceric ammonium nitrate containing chromium.SOLUTION: A processing method includes a nitric acid recovery process collecting nitric acid from a ceric ammonium nitrate solution, and a cerium recovery process collecting cerium from the ceric ammonium nitrate solution. The nitric acid recovery process includes the steps of removing chromium from the ceric ammonium nitrate solution containing chromium, obtaining a nitric acid water solution from the ceric ammonium nitrate solution from which chromium is removed by a distillation, and concentrating the nitric acid water solution by the distillation using salt effect. |
