Systems and methods are described herein for managing the group owner assignments for a peer-to-peer wireless network. The peer-to-peer wireless network may include a group owner that acts as access point for the remaining group members. The group owner generates a succession plan to transfer the group owner role to one of the group members if the group owner departs the peer-to-peer wireless network, either voluntarily or involuntarily. |
