PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device calculating movement of a medium on the basis of a compressed image and being capable of suppressing deterioration of the image at the time of compression.SOLUTION: A liquid injection device comprises: a transportation section transporting a medium; an injection section injecting liquid onto the medium transported by the transportation section; a medium support section supporting the medium; an imaging section being provided on the medium support section and imaging the medium; and a control section. The control section compresses an original image obtained by the imaging section to an image of a gradation number less than a gradation number of the original image such that a gradation number distribution spreads over entire gradation, calculates movement of the medium on the basis of the compressed image and controls transportation of the medium by the transportation section on the basis of the movement. |
