<p>The present invention relates to an air conditioner having a door smoothly installed moved by using a friction member. The air conditioner comprises: a body forming an exterior; a discharge port discharging air prepared on a lower part of the body; a door installed in a front of the body to open and close the discharge port; a pinion installed to be rotated; a driving device including a rack installed to be moved with a door engaging with the pinion; and a friction member formed for the rack and the pinion to maintain a certain distance by pressing the rack when the rack is moved. The rack and the door are slid smoothly in a curved path by a force of a motor using the friction member.</p>
