A method, an apparatus and a system for security verification are provided, which belong to the filed of Internet information security. The method includes: sending a verification code to a user terminal to display, where the verification code includes prompting information and multiple objects relating to the prompting information； receiving information about a selected object which is selected by a user from the multiple objects, returned by the user terminal； and calculating a verification value T0 based on the information about the selected object and a predetermined rule； and determining the verification is passed if the verification value T0 exceeds a first threshold T1. The anti-decryption of the verification code is improved without affecting user experience, and security of user verification is improved.
