<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently separating and refining chlorophyll c and/or xanthophyll from a sample containing chlorophyll c and/or xanthophyll which has been difficult by conventional methods. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, chlorophyll c and/or xanthophyll is separated and refined by high speed counter current chromatography for a sample containing chlorophyll c and/or xanthophyll, in which an upper layer of a biphasic solvent system is used as a stationary phase and a lower layer of the biphasic solvent system is used as a mobile phase, the biphasic solvent system being obtained by mixing ethanol or methanol, acetone or ethyl acetone, hexane, and water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
