<p>The device has a transformer with a primary winding and a secondary winding, which is magnetically coupled with the primary winding over a transformer core. The primary winding is arranged in a load circuit of a high voltage modulator i.e. pulse-step-modulator. The modulator is formed to permit a current flow by the circuit in positive and negative directions. Switch elements are connected with a control device to control the elements during operation such that the modulator delivers a bias voltage (Ub) before a pulse voltage (Up) to negatively premagnetize the core. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a pulsed high voltage.</p> |
