A dual processor type mobile communication terminal and a method for processing USB connection thereof are provided to minimize the poser consumption at a dual processor type mobile communication terminal and to process a USB connection mode efficiently. A communication dedicated processor(190c) carries out a PC link mode in a USB connection mode, and a multimedia dedicated processor(190a) controls additional functions. The communication dedicated processor and the multimedia dedicated processor include USB modules(195c,195a) which are connected to an external device(200) through a USB switch(120). The USB modules perform the selected connection mode by loading a corresponding program according to the connection mode that a user selects. In addition, the USB module of the communication dedicated processor senses whether or not the external device is connected to the USB connection unit(110) according to the control of the communication dedicated processor, and controls a USB switch according to the connection mode. |
