PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draw-up type continuous casting method capable of controlling the solidification interface in a specified range and achieving excellent dimensional accuracy and surface quality of a casting.SOLUTION: A draw-up type continuous casting apparatus comprises a holding furnace 101 holding a molten metal, a first shape regulation member 102 arranged in the vicinity of the molten metal surface of a molten metal M1 held by the holding furnace 101 and regulating the shape of the cross section of a casting M3 to be casted when the molten metal passes, an imaging part 109 taking an image of the molten metal M2 passing through the first shape regulation member 102, an image analysis part 110 detecting oscillations of the molten metal from the image and determining a solidification interface on the basis of presence and absence of oscillations and casting control part 111 modifying casting conditions when the solidification interface determined by the image analysis part 110 is out of a predetermined reference range. |
