PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing the delay of start of reading due to acquisition of white data.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus comprises a white reference board, a reader, and a controller. The controller executes steps of: moving a carriage to a position opposed to the white reference board (S145); acquiring white data from the reader by, after the moving, causing the reader to emit light to the white reference board and receive the light reflected by the white reference board, thereby generating the white data (S155); correcting the image data on the basis of the white data acquired by the acquisition (S175, S185); and determining whether to execute processing for correcting the image data using the white data acquired by the acquisition during a preview of the image data, during the preview (S140, S150, S170) |
