The present invention relates to a vehicle black box system with a video playing function which includes a camera which takes videos of surroundings of a vehicle; a microphone for acquiring sounds generated inside the vehicle or outside the vehicle; a memory unit in which sounds and videos acquired by the microphone are saved as data; a video/audio signal processing unit which reads video signals and audio signals from the video and audio data saved in the memory unit and signal-processes the video and audio data to be played by an external device; an output unit which outputs the signal-processed video and audio signals to the external device; an operation unit which operates the camera, the microphone, the saving of the data in the memory unit, and the playing of the video and audio data; and a control unit which receives operation signals outputted from the operation unit and controls each of the camera, the memory unit, and the video/audio signal processing unit. The present invention allows the external device, even the external device without a video playing function, to easily play the videos by signal-processing the video and audio data, provides user convenience, and easily acquires useful records by enabling the extension of a photographing area.
