摘要 PURPOSE: A method and system for controlling power generation in a hybrid vehicle are provided to generate the generation torque of a hybrid starter-generator (HSG) over the fixed generation torque of an existing method according to the detected temperature of the coolant of the HSG when the temperature is below a predetermined level for limiting the temperature of the coolant, thereby improving fuel efficiency by simultaneously moving an engine driving point to a high efficiency region and reducing time for charging a battery. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling power generation in a hybrid vehicle charges a battery through a hybrid starter-generator (HSG) and an engine. The method includes: a measuring step (S100) of measuring the temperature of a coolant cooling the HSG; an adjusting step (S500) of variably adjusting the generation torque of the HSG when the temperature of the coolant is below a limit value; and a fixing step (S600) of making the generation torque of the HSG into a fixed value when the temperature of the coolant is over the limit value. A system for controlling the power generation in the hybrid vehicle includes the HSG(100), a temperature sensor(140), and a controlling part(600). The HSG generates power using the starting of the engine and the driving force of the engine. The temperature sensor measures the temperature of a coolant line(120) cooling the HSG and the temperature of the coolant. The controlling part measures the temperature of the coolant in order to variably adjust the generation torque of the HSG when the temperature of the coolant is below the limit value, and in order to make the generation torque of the HSG into the fixed value when the temperature of the coolant is over the limit value.
