PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved composition that modulates PKC activity to help treat skin wounds and other chronic wounds.SOLUTION: The composition accelerates a healing process of wounds, increases the closure of skin wounds, and decreases inflammation at the site of a skin wound. Specifically, the composition comprises a δ-PKC activator, an α-PKC inhibitor, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier that is free of Caand Mgcations. Further, the composition comprises an insulin or insulin analog and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier that is free of Caand Mgcations. |
