PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotary compressor which can perform capacity control operation by controlling a rotation direction of the compressor and can be miniaturized with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A rotary compressor 100 includes an electric motor 9 rotatable in forward and reverse directions and compression mechanism 10. In the compression mechanism 10, two inlet ports 17a and 17b communicating to a cylinder chamber 11c so as to hold a vane 13 and two discharge ports 16a and 16b are formed. Further, in the compression mechanism 10, a bypass port 20 is formed in a position where a compression start angle is different in forward direction rotation and in reverse direction rotation. The bypass port 20 is connected to an intake path (intake pipe 14a) which introduces refrigerant gas to the cylinder chamber 11c through a bypass pipe 21. |
