PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical network unit registration method capable of being applied to a TDM/WDM-PON.SOLUTION: An optical network unit registration method for a network having a configuration including one or a plurality of optical line terminals, a plurality of branches, and optical routing means comprises: a first process in which an optical line terminal transmits a discovery gate to an optical network unit belonging to each branch; and a second process in which an unregistered optical network unit transmits a register request in response to the discovery gate to the optical line terminal. The discovery gate includes an identification symbol determined for each branch. The register request includes the identification symbol which the unregistered optical network unit reads out from the discovery gate. |
