PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new photosensitized dye with satisfactory photoelectric conversion efficiency and improved durability; a metal oxide semiconductor electrode with said dye adsorbed on an oxide semiconductor; and a dye-sensitized solar cell employing the oxide semiconductor electrode.SOLUTION: A photosensitized dye for a solar cell has a structure represented by the formula (1). (In the formula (1), A is an aryl or heteroaryl with or without substituents, and B is a heteroaryl with substituents.)
