<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner control device for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to reduce fuel consumption using the gravity energy of the earth when an air conditioner is operated in driving. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner control device for a vehicle comprises a vehicle speed detecting sensor (10), an inclined angle detecting sensor (20), a gear position sensor (30), an accelerator position sensor (40), an auto-control switch (50), and an air conditioner control part (60). The vehicle speed detecting sensor detects the speed of the vehicle. The inclined angle detecting sensor detects the inclined angle of the vehicle. The gear position sensor detects the position of a vehicle gear. The accelerator position sensor detects whether or not an accelerator operates. The auto-control switch selects an auto-control mode of an air conditioner. In the auto-control mode, the air conditioner control part controls the operation of an air conditioner compressor by variably setting the control temperature of the compressor based on the speed and inclined angle of the vehicle and the position of the gear and accelerator.</p> |
