PURPOSE: A heart sound analysis device based on simplicity and a method thereof are provided to detect a heart sound main component based on a Gaussian curve fitting method, thereby accurately detecting the heart sound main component. CONSTITUTION: A simplicity unit(210) calculates simplicity of a heart sound signal from measured heart sound signals and extracts a simplicity curve of one cycle. An extraction unit(220) extracts a Gaussian fitting curve by applying a Gaussian curve fitting method to the simplicity curve. A cardiac murmur removal unit(230) removes a component corresponding to cardiac murmur of the heart sound signal from the Gaussian fitting curve. A main component detection unit(240) detects a heart sound main component by using the Gaussian fitting curve in which the cardiac murmur is removed. The extraction unit extracts Gaussian components and Gaussian parameters corresponding to the Gaussian components by applying the Gaussian curve fitting method to the simplicity curve.
