PURPOSE: A product search word determining device and a method thereof are provided to comply with the search intention of a user by determining the placement and order of collections related to products and shopping based on product relevance of an input search word. CONSTITUTION: A product search word collecting unit(110) collects a product search word based on first search statistic information. An expanded search word determining unit(130) calculates the product relevance of an expanded search word related to the product search word based on second search statistic information of the expanded search word in order to store the product relevance by product search words. A product search word extracting unit(150) extracts the product search word included in an input search word received from a user terminal as an extracted search word. If the product relevance of the expanded search word related to the product search word corresponding to the extracted search word is higher than standards, an input search word determining unit(170) accepts the product relevance of the input search word.
