<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear for an internal combustion engine, improved to certainly restrict operation of a valve when required while avoiding unnecessary restriction on operation of an exhaust valve and an intake valve. <P>SOLUTION: The restriction on the operation (applying a load) of the exhaust valve 10 is selectively performed/stopped by magnetic fluid 22 according to whether a coil 14 is energized. When the coil 14 is energized, a shaft 19 and the magnetic fluid 22 function as a magnetic fluid damper (or a pressing member applying the load to the movement of the valve). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
