<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated film capable of maintaining a constant color in a wide angle, and a resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: This coated film (or the resin composition) includes a substrate material constituted by a resin as a main component and pigment particles dispersed and held in the substrate material. The pigment particles include a base material constituted by a metal oxide and a coloring component included in or dispersed by the base material, and has an approximately spherical shape. The metal of the metal oxide can be at least one selected from the group consisting of silicon, titanium, aluminum and zirconium. Typically, the metal oxide is silica.
