发明名称 A PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF TUBES OF PLASTIC MATERIAL,A PLANT FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND THE TUBE OBTAINED
摘要
1,258,959. Centrifugally moulding tubes. C. F. PELLICER, and M. F. PELLICER. 21 Aug., 1969 [23 Aug., 1968 (3)], No. 41802/69. Heading B5A. A succession of concentric layers are built up in a rotating tubular mould to form a tube, the first layer being of a synthetic resin or resins, followed by one or more reinforcing layers of resin mixed with fibre, e.g. glass fibres, and finally by a resin layer, the layers being held in the mould by centrifugal action until cured. A mixing head 20, Fig. 1, is moved axially into a rotating mould, not shown, by a wheeled carriage 2 mounted on guides 6, 7 and connected to a chain 32 driven by a motor 8. Plastics forming materials are fed to the mixing head through piping 16 extending through a tube 15 and a hopper 21 supplying a duct 24. Filamentary material is fed to the head from reels 23 and is chopped into fibres at the head and mixed with a plastics material stream applied to the mould. Each rotary tubular mould 58 is fed to a moulding station where it is received at one end by a driving head 55, Fig. 6, and at the other end by a guide head 56, both heads being located on a chassis 68. The mould rests on wheels and is guided by further wheels 66, Fig. 5, and is driven by an endless belt engaging pulleys 60, 61. The wheels 66 and belt are adjustable to accommodate moulds of different diameters. Hot gas is fed to the mould via a nozzle 70, and infra-red heaters 71 assist in polymerizing the resin material. Each mould is fed to the driving station, in turn, from a framework 73 including wheels 75 on which the mould is supported; the framework is associated with elevators 80, 81 and has guides 81a co-operating with centring crown wheels 93a on the moulds. After moulding, each mould is lowered by the elevator 81 and rolls down a beam 73. In Fig. 16, the moulds are carried to the moulding station by an endless chain 156 carrying arms 157 having mould supporting wheels 158; after moulding, the mould is received by elevating means 153, carried by a transversely spaced pair of carriages 145, 146 sliding on guides 149, 150 and propelled by a motor-driven screw 151. The mould is thereby elevated and carried above the other moulds to a station A. The moulded tube is removed by a piston and cylinder assembly 94, 95, Fig. 10, the piston of which ejects the tube whilst members 91, 92 attached to the cylinder hold the mould stationary.
