<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED unit which can efficiently dissipate heat generated by a plurality of LEDs, and which can also be easily fixed on a ceiling surface or a wall surface in a room. <P>SOLUTION: A cylindrical part 7A of a translucent cover 7 is fixed to a fitting fixing part 1A on an inner periphery of a unit substrate 1, and the cylindrical part 7A is mounted on a ceiling surface W1 or a wall surface W2 in a room. Thereby, an LED unit is easily fixed on the ceiling surface with each LED package 2 facing inside the room. Heat generated by turning on the LED packages 2 is efficiently dissipated from a plurality of radiation fins 1B integrally formed on the other face of the unit substrate 1.
